As the librarian in charge of Japanese material in the Library, the postholder will be one of four language specialists in the Asian, Near and Middle Eastern Group of the Library. S/he will be responsible for the development of the Japanese language collections to support all aspects of teaching, learning and research in the University, including the purchasing and cataloguing of new acquisitions in both printed and electronic form, and the management of existing collections, including rare printed and manuscript material.
