The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum, a nationally-recognized and award-winning museum , seeks a leader as the Associate Director, who will work with the founding Executive Director and eventually take on the Executive Director position. This position will assume leadership of the exhibit, artistic, educational, archival, and operational vision of the museum, serving eventually as the museum’s primary fundraiser, promoting the museum to constituents at all levels.
The museum features quality exhibits on the history and culture of China and Chinese-America, a 17-year history of K-12 education programs, a strong financial foundation and endowment, 3 facilities that include the historic Mission Building, a Chinese garden, the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial extension, and the Chuang Archive Learning Center. Ranked by DK News as a Top 10 San Diego museum, it is also a prime location 1 block from the San Diego Convention Center in the Asian Pacific Historic District.
